Information about our service

Who we are!

Vernon EMS is part of the Vernon Volunteer Fire Department. All members hold both state and NREMT certifications, and receive monthly refresher classes.

Level of service

Our service provides ALS service at the EMT Intermediate or an EMT Basic at nearly all times. Many of our members live in town so we are able to provide 24 hour service to the community.

Hospitals we use

Depending on the proximity to a call, the level or type of care required, and patient desire when possible, patients are transported by Rescue Inc ambulances to either Brattleboro Memorial Hospital  in Brattleboro or Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield, Ma. In the event of  severe Trauma, the patient will be air-lifted to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center  by DHART or other available air service.
